Multisystem2 Arcade - Batch 1 shipping starts August 18th

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick update to say that the Multisystem2 Arcade (JAMMA Arcade) boards will start shipping from Tuesday 18th August.

Initially batch 1 shipments will go out as we ramp up production. 

We have three further batches being manufactured and they will follow as soon as possible after batch 1.

While you wait for your order, we have updated the Multisystem2 Arcade user manual with instructions for setup and also the new 4 player mode. You can now use Multisystem2 Arcade in 3 and 4 player games such as TMNT, Simpsons, Gauntlet, Rampage and many more.

You don't need any upgrades to do this, just flip a switch on the board to select 4 player mode.

As stated in the Multisystem2 Arcade listings, we are shipping out in order number priority sequence so please use the below as a guide to where we are, thank you.

We are also sending out progress updates across our websites (here) and via social media, this should hopefully limit the need for us to answer lots of messages asking when 'my' order is going to be shipped out.

When the shipment is about to be sent, you will see a status update on your order - 'awaiting shipment' and an e-mail message will be sent to you.
Then another message will be sent when it's shipped - usually a few days later.

Future price increase - (The global RAM Shortages)

One further note - The ongoing price increases for almost all types of computer RAM and other critical components are getting worse - for everyone all around the world. We have had 5 price increases in RAM this last year. It's not just the price rise, the lead-time for component shipments to everyone has also extended significantly, from several months to now over 6 months. We continue to source, buy and wait for LPDDR and SDRAM shipments so we can continue to build Multisystem2 consoles and Arcades. 

The demand for chip capacity and components to build AI datacentres around the world has put ongoing pressure on manufacturers who can't keep up with demand for general memory, storage and CPU's of all types. The prices of any available stock just keep on going up unfortunately.

We will have to increase our prices due to the ongoing rising cost of RAM and raw component shipment costs. We are holding off as long as possible with the stock we have, but during August we will have to increase the price of Multisystem2 and Multisystem2 Arcade by +£10 for any new orders.

Current reports show there is no expected change to this ram shortage for at least 2027, so this is a long-term problem everyone is dealing with, as soon as we have more news, we will keep you all updated.
